FlosForge Fast for Android

Intermittent fasting timer and tracker for Android

Start a fast on any protocol from 13:11 to 72 hours and watch it move through seven stages, each explained in plain words. Log water, symptoms and body readings beside it, and see your streaks and patterns — worked out on the phone, stored encrypted, and never sent anywhere.

  • No AI

Every chart, score and insight is plain arithmetic over your own entries, worked out on the phone. Nothing you log is sent to a model, and there is none built in.

  • No telemetry

No analytics, no crash reports, no ads and no account. There is no FlosForge server for the app to report to, and no internet permission to reach one with.

  • Your data stays on the phone

Kept in the app’s private storage and left out of cloud backups. It leaves the phone only as a file you choose to export.

A timer that tells you where you are

The ring shows how long you have fasted and how long is left, and the stage you are in: fed state, early fasting, fat burning, ketosis, autophagy, deep ketosis and immune regeneration. Tap any stage for what your body is doing, why it matters and a tip.

  • Protocols from 13:11 circadian through 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 and OMAD to 72 hours, or your own
  • Change the start time of a fast already running
  • A live notification with the stage and an End fast button
  • Rate how the fast felt when it ends, and add a note

Log what happens alongside the clock

Water, tea, coffee, electrolytes and broth in one tap; how you feel, tagged with the stage you were in; and weight, blood ketones and blood glucose when you measure them. Every entry lands on the same timeline as the fast it happened in.

  • Hunger, headache, fatigue, brain fog — and energy, clarity and calm — at three strengths
  • A daily water goal, with drink reminders only during the hours you set
  • Metric or imperial, and mg/dL or mmol/L for glucose
  • Water logged in Health Connect by other apps can be included, read-only

Patterns worked out on the phone

A consistency score from how often you meet your goal and how regularly you start, your streaks, the stages your fasts actually reach, and when each symptom tends to appear. None of it is computed anywhere but on the device in your hand.

  • Current and longest streak, goal completion, average and longest fast
  • Your hardest stage, from your own symptom check-ins
  • Weight trend and ketone readings over thirty days
  • History you can edit, with past fasts added after the fact

Private by construction, not by setting

The app has no internet permission, so there is nothing to switch off. The database is encrypted with a key held in the phone’s own keystore, it is left out of cloud backups, and an optional PIN or fingerprint lock hides it from the recent-apps screen.

  • App lock with a PIN and biometrics, and a lockout after wrong guesses
  • Notifications that show nothing on the lock screen
  • Export everything to CSV, where you choose
  • Twenty languages, chosen per app

What FlosForge Fast is not

A fasting timer can be read as more than it is. This is where it stops:

  • An educational tracker, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat or advise.
  • Stage timings are population averages. Your own depend on your last meal, your activity and your metabolic health, and much of the research on autophagy and immune renewal comes from animal studies.
  • Fasting is not for everyone. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, underweight, diabetic, on medication or have a history of disordered eating, talk to a healthcare professional first.
  • Fasts over 24 hours carry real risks, and the app marks them. Anything past 48 hours belongs under medical supervision.
  • Without the precise-alarms permission, stage alerts and reminders may arrive a few minutes late.

Questions about FlosForge Fast

Does FlosForge Fast work offline?

Yes, always. The app has no internet permission at all, so it works the same in airplane mode and nothing you log can leave the phone.

Which fasting schedules does it support?

13:11, 14:10, 16:8, 18:6, 20:4 and OMAD (23:1), plus 36, 48 and 72-hour fasts, or any custom length from 1 to 168 hours. You can change the protocol while a fast is running.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up, no login and no server. Your fasts are stored in an encrypted database on your phone.

Does it work with Health Connect?

Optionally. If you switch it on, the app can include water logged by other apps in your daily total. It only reads water intake, and it never writes anything to Health Connect.

Which phones does it run on?

Android 10 and later. It is translated into English and 19 other languages, which you can choose per app.

Is it medical advice?

No. It is an educational tracker, not a medical device, and stage timings are population averages. Talk to a healthcare professional before fasting if you are pregnant, diabetic, on medication or have a history of disordered eating.

How every FlosForge app works

  • No telemetry

No analytics, no crash reporting, no usage pings. Not configurable — simply absent.

  • Local storage only

Your data stays on your own device, stored in private application sandboxes under your control.

  • Open exports

Everything exports to standard formats you own (CSV, GPX, JSON, Markdown), with zero lock-in.
